BUFFALO, New York – April 7, 2025 – Employees from GMS’ Buffalo office dedicated their time and efforts to support Hearts for the Homeless, a charity that provides clothing and food to the chronically homeless, poor, and those in need. Hearts for the Homeless is dedicated to serving the community through relationship ministry, driven by a strong spiritual motivation to share the Word of God. During the event, the GMS team successfully restructured the home decor, kitchen needs, and children's sections of the downtown Buffalo store.
About Hearts for the Homeless
Hearts for the Homeless is a dedicated non-profit organization serving Buffalo and the surrounding areas. They provide food, resources, and hope to the poor and homeless. Hearts' staff and volunteers work tirelessly to nourish the community both physically and spiritually through various outreach programs. To date, Hearts has served over 29,000 homeless individuals and provided more than 350,000 meals. Here are the various ways to get involved:
- Host a donation bin: Provide space to collect essential items for those in need.
- Donate clothing: Drop off gently used or new clothing at their donation bins.
- Donate food: Organize a food drive to collect canned goods and essentials.
- Shop at Hearts thrift stores: Find great items while supporting Hearts’ mission.
- Give financially: Donate to support their services.
- Participate in workplace giving: Donate through the United Way Donor Choice Program.
