AUSTIN, Texas – May 22, 2025 — Employees from GMS’ Austin office dedicated their time and efforts to supporting Hungry Souls. Every day in Central Texas, there are more than 100,000 children who are food insecure. One out of five kids face uncertainty about where their next meal will come from. Through partnerships with local schools, Hungry Souls provides nutritious meals to children in Austin's community who need it most. During the event, volunteers loaded food into vans, to prepare for delivery to schools.

Hungry Souls is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Austin, committed to fighting childhood hunger in Central Texas. They provide nutritious meals to children and their families during weekends and school breaks, ensuring they have the food they need to thrive. Their holistic approach not only fills bellies but also supports families with resources to break the cycle of hunger and poverty.
To date, Hungry Souls partners with 29 schools and feeds over 2,000 families each week. Here are the various ways to get involved:
