GMS Cares Volunteers Support Muncie Mission

MUNCIE, Indiana—February 12, 2026 — Employees from GMS’ Indiana team spent the day volunteering with Muncie Mission, a faith-based nonprofit serving neighbors across East Central Indiana who are experiencing homelessness or crisis. Volunteers supported on-site services, assisting with guest check-in, serving community lunches, organizing donated goods, and stocking clothing and hygiene items. Their efforts helped the Mission deliver a welcoming experience for every guest.

About Muncie Mission

Muncie Mission Ministries has served East Central Indiana for nearly a century, providing life-transforming programs for individuals and families in crisis. The Mission operates a men’s emergency shelter and long-term residential recovery program for those battling addiction, as well as Beauty for Ashes transitional housing for women and children. Through its Family Services program, Muncie Mission offers food and clothing pantries, utility assistance, and household furnishings, alongside a free medical clinic and weekday community lunches for anyone in need. Additional outreach includes the Muncie Hub, a multi-agency daytime service center for unsheltered guests, and Attic Window thrift stores, which fund programs while offering affordable goods. In the past year alone, the Mission provided thousands of meals, housed hundreds of individuals, and assisted thousands more through family services.
