Pat Flynn

Pat Flynn has held senior leadership roles as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, and Executive Partner across founder-owned, private equity-backed, and publicly traded organizations in the industrial, manufacturing, financial services, and human capital sectors. Recently joining GMS as Chief Legal Officer, Pat brings extensive experience advising executive leadership teams, boards of directors, founders, and investors on complex business, legal, and strategic matters.

As an enterprise legal and governance executive, Pat is known for a business-first approach that combines legal rigor with commercial acumen. Throughout his career, Pat has helped organizations navigate mergers and acquisitions, ownership transitions, regulatory and compliance challenges, and large-scale enterprise transformations. By professionalizing infrastructure, strengthening governance, and mitigating risk, Pat aligns legal strategy with operational performance, revenue growth, EBITDA expansion, and the long-term stewardship of capital.

Combining legal and business training, Pat earned both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
