If you've been to our site over the past few days, you probably noticed something...really different.
Different as in: "Hey, look! We got ourselves a new website!"
Why did we do it? It might look nice, but it's not just for aesthetics. We did it because the only thing that's constant is change, and our old website wasn't serving our existing or potential customers as well as it used to.
Group Management Services, Inc. was on honored on February 19th, 2014 at the Richfield Village Council meeting. They congratulated President and CEO, Mike Kahoe as GMS was awarded a 2013 Weatherhead 100 Award through the Case Western Reserve Weatherhead School of Management.
We’re happy to announce that this week, Group Management Services (GMS), received the Weatherhead 100 award in recognition as one of Northeast Ohio’s fastest growing companies. From 2008 through 2012, GMS experienced a 55.5% growth in sales, making us the largest Ohio-based professional employer organization. The Weatherhead 100 award is given to companies whose net sales grew from at least $100,000 to over $1 million in the last five years and employed a minimum of 16 people full-time in 2012.
HR functions can take a lot of time. For small business owners, that time could be better used in better ways—like growing your business and making more sales.
GMS is committed to saving you time and money on your HR functions, including Payroll, Benefits, Risk Management, and more. In support of this commitment, we’re happy to announce that we have just launched a brand new educational resources section on our website.
If you've browsed through our site, you've probably seen our tagline: "Employee Management Made Simpler. Safer. Stronger."
As a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), we live up to this goal by removing your burden of keeping up with ever-changing HR regulations. We centralize HR functions for owners and employees with our HR Pyramid business software (simpler). We educate our customers on how new laws will impact their business. We provide high-quality customer support. And in the end, our clients spend less time worrying about whether they are implementing compliant HR practices (safer) and more time growing their bottom line (stronger).
Last Saturday, I took my daughters down to Nike Park in Parma, Ohio to watch my co-workers play a softball game in the Cleveland Corporate Challenge. GMS played against Bucci’s Restaurant and won their first game, 13-12. (Yay team!) While I’m glad my co-workers won, I was even more impressed with something else I saw.
GMS is proud to have received a 2013 Leading EDGE Award for Value Creation in Northeast Ohio.
GMS is thrilled to announce that Stacey Edelman is a 2013 Ohio Glass Ceiling Award winner!
Recently, four women from Group Management Services attended the Women Who Excel Seminar in Cleveland, OH. It was a great networking opportunity as well as a forum to hear leading women talk about how they have made it to the top. There were panelists from all different industries that discussed topics ranging from the barriers women face in the workforce to the right way to align yourself as a strategic partner.
Jessica Mischka (Benefits Administration Manger), Catisha Jackson (Benefits Account Manager), Sanja Benic (Human Resources Intern), and Stacey Edelman (VP of Client Services) enjoyed learning how to become a stronger female presence and mentor at GMS.
Group Management Services is very proud of not only these four women, but proud of all the females that help lead our company and its customers.
Earlier this month, our CEO went back to school.
Mike Kahoe, the founder and CEO of Group Management Services, attended Career Day at Bath School. He had the opportunity to speak to fifth-graders about his career and offer advice as they contemplate their future careers.
