GMS Cares Supports ECCO’s Fresh & Free Farmer’s Market in Charleston 

CHARLESTON, South Carolina – February 26, 2026— GMS employees in the Charleston area volunteered with East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) to support its Fresh & Free Farmer’s Market. 

The Fresh & Free Farmer’s Market is held on the third Wednesday of each month and provides fresh fruits and vegetables to local community members through a drive-thru distribution in partnership with the Lowcountry Food Bank. During the first volunteer shift, GMS employees helped set up the event, assemble produce bags, and load them into vehicles as community members arrived. 

About East Cooper Community Outreach: ECCO is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals and families in need by providing access to food, clothing, and support services while treating everyone with compassion, dignity, and respect. In addition to the farmer’s market, ECCO operates a Wellness Food Pantry that allows clients to place food orders up to two times per month for non-perishable items, produce, frozen meats, hygiene products, and more.
