GMS Cares Volunteers Support The Salvation Army Center of Hope in Charlotte 

CHARLOTTE, NC – June 1, 2026 — Employees from GMS’ Charlotte office recently volunteered with The Salvation Army Center of Hope. During their visit, volunteers helped prepare and serve lunch for individuals and families staying at the shelter. The team assisted in the kitchen and dining areas, supporting daily operations that provide essential meals to those in need. 

About The Salvation Army Center of Hope 

Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, The Salvation Army Center of Hope is the largest low-barrier shelter for women and children in the area. Each day, the center serves more than 300 individuals by providing food, shelter, and access to case management services that help families work toward stable housing solutions. Their team of social workers, cooks, and resident advisors plays an important role in supporting guests from a wide range of backgrounds. 

Volunteer efforts like this help ensure that the Center of Hope can continue delivering consistent, reliable meals for its residents. By contributing their time and effort, GMS team members helped support an environment that is respectful, positive, and welcoming for all guests.
