Volunteers from GMS started the day packing lunches for the Akron Snow Angels. The Akron Snow Angels is a 501(c)3 charity started by Erin Victor in 2015. The organization provides for the homeless within the city of Akron, Ohio. Their mission is simple – to spread warmth and connect with the most vulnerable in their community by providing basic essentials and fostering compassionate friendships while inspiring others to do the same.
GMS volunteers prepared 250 lunches that included a sandwich, fruit, chips, and a drink. Dan Flanagan, Regional Sales Manager, then delivered these lunches to homeless camps and areas that surround the shelters to #SpreadTheWarmth. Dan expressed, "I am a firm believer that the work you put into the lives of others comes back to your own life tenfold. GMS Cares is exactly that. We step up as a community to provide for those in need."
