GMS Cares Volunteers Support Animal House Shelter

CHICAGO, Illinois—June 17, 2025 — Employees from GMS' Chicago, Illinois office spent the afternoon volunteering at the Animal House Shelter. They dedicated their time to walking dogs and providing in-kennel socialization, helping to enrich the lives of the shelter’s animals and support their journey toward finding forever homes.

About Animal House Shelter

Animal House Shelter is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused and neglected animals, providing them with safe shelter, medical care, and loving forever homes. Since opening in 2002, the shelter has rescued over 65,000 dogs and cats, placing them with families who give them the second chance they deserve.

Through comprehensive veterinary care, behavior assessments, and adoption support, Animal House Shelter ensures every animal is given the best possible path to a new life. Their mission is to protect, heal, and advocate for homeless pets while promoting responsible pet ownership and compassion in the community.

To support their work, consider adopting, volunteering, or making a donation today.
