GMS Charleston Volunteers For Friends Of The Library

Charleston, South Carolina– July 30, 2024 – Employees from GMS’ Charleston, South Carolina office made a significant impact by dedicating their day to the Charleston Friends Of The Library. Volunteers assisted with the library’s first children’s book sale at Johns Island. With 55 attendees, the event raised over $850! 

About Charleston Friends Of The Library 

Charleston Friends Of The Library (CFOL) has grown significantly over the past 40+ years with a diverse membership across Charleston and beyond. CFOL operates as an independent non-profit that benefits tens of thousands of our neighbors across all 18 Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) system branches. 

CFOL funds hundreds of CCPL programs for all ages, from infants to seniors, promoting literacy, healthy lifestyles, access to technology, and events that unite community members. CFOL also provides thousands of free books annually to underserved communities and local non-profit organizations. 

CFOL is hosting several events at Frothy Beard Brewery throughout August and September and is looking for volunteers. To volunteer with CFOL, click here.
