SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 24, 2025 – Employees from GMS’ San Francisco office dedicated their time and efforts to support Project Open Hand, a nonprofit organization focused on improving health outcomes and quality of life for vulnerable individuals by providing nutritious, medically-tailored meals.
During the event, the GMS team joined other volunteers at Project Open Hand’s headquarters on Polk Street to assist with meal preparation. Tasks included labeling meal trays, portioning meal components according to specific dietary needs, and assembling trays with raw and cooked proteins and vegetables. The collaborative efforts of volunteers help ensure that critically ill individuals and seniors in San Francisco and Oakland receive the nutritious meals they need to sustain their health and well-being.
